Domains unavailable for backorder

Is it possible that a domain can not be backordered.

I want a domain but it is unavailable for backorder, the .com version of same domain is available for backorder by this one is not..

any insights?

Is it a gTLD or a ccTLD?

Most ccTLDs can not be backordered at snapnames and namejet..

How about giving more information like it is a .co.uk domain or .de domain or .ca domain etc?
