How was this even done? I was an infant but I remember the internet being an infant in the late 90's where could this even have been done?

Don't beat yourself up too much, not sure if one can "miss the boat" on something at 9 years old. Could go give your Papi a lil' smack on the back of the head though.Ah cool, I was 9 so unfortunately missed the boat on that
These are the estimated domain name age breakdowns as percentage of current registrations for the AMBIONIC set of TLDs (COM/NET/ORG/BIZ/INFO/MOBI/ASIA/IE) back to 2000 and were crunched from the 01 September 2021 data:Yeah, I've found a lot of crap that people held for 20 years from the late 90's apparently regging .com for the sake of it is timeless.

This is based on the last known new date for the domain name. The market is a lot more fluid than people expect. The domain names that are continually renewed are often in use or are high value domain names. So only a small amount of domains are aged and renewed continuously @jmcc?

What do you think we'll be looking back on in 30 years time, domain-wise? Hits and misses, should we have done more diversifying across TLDs/blockchain when we had the opportunity? What will renewals look like? What will domain laws look like?
A lot has changed since the 90s, pre-90s, that's for sure, so I can only imagine the domain landscape to be a fraction of what it is today by 2050.
I'm sorry to hear that. Yep everyone has their story but doesn't diminish yours or make it any less important. Respect.I was raised by a single mom on welfare. Dad killed himself when I was 6. Shit happens but unfortunately don't get the option to ask him.
I'm sure everyone has some type of sob story though. Life goes on.
