The first big domain conference of the New Year, DOMAINfest Global, is coming up Jan. 31 through Feb. 3 at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California. The show is being produced by DomainSponsor.com, so to get the inside scoop on what is being planned, we hooked up with the company's Director of Business Development, Ron Sheridan. DOMAINfest will feature a broader audience, which is the result of our main differentiator – a lower barrier to entry. With a low cost admission, DOMAINfest will see a different type of audience, comprised of small to mid and high level, experienced domainers.

I would really like to go to a domain conference to see what they are like, but price has always been my barrier. I imagine this is the case with a lot of people. Maybe with the lower price, Namepros can afford to run a contest to send one lucky member to DomainFest. Or maybe DNJournal can do that....
