I'm interested to hear whether people call themselves domainers or domaineers. I've always considered myself a domaineer (I just thought it was easier to say) so what are you guys.

Having just regd some domaineer related names I think I may be the only one!

Still.........that could work........ :)

I like domaineer, had never thought of it before! We truly are pioneers, so it's kind of a cool name.

There was an opportunity a few years ago to coin a term for what we now call "domainers." That ship has sailed. :]

Domainer. :tu: Someone needs to get this in the dictionary!

Domaineer -> too close to Domineer:
Domineer –> verb (used with object), verb (used without object)
1. to rule arbitrarily or despotically; tyrannize. D-:
2. to tower; to tower over or above: The castle domineers the town.

Yeah, it looks like someone added it to the Domain Parking entry 10 days ago.

I bet it was done by someone who owns a few "domaineer" domains.

Hey, if I was a disgruntled end-user who just wanted my little LLLL.com for my business and some computer geek wanted me to pay $10k for it, I would agree with this definition :).

Even though 'domainer' is the popular term, I love the term 'domaineer' ... hence my Domaineers.com :)

i prefer Domaineer sort of a mountaineer climbing the mountain of success, slowly but surely.

I have always liked the term Domaineer... and Domaineering.

as mentioned earlier:

Mountaineer
Pioneer
Engineer
and of course, homage to Disney with their "Imagineer"

it has nothing to do with me owning: Domaineering [.] com for several years. ;)

To people outside the biz, I've always explained what I do as "investing in internet real estate".

Saying that I'm an "internet real estate investor" seems to be easier for people outside of the biz to understand than saying I'm a domainer or domain name investor, to which the first answer usually is "What's that?"

Same here, It is to hard to explain to people, and it always turns into a big fiasco.
