Selling a Domain​

What is the process for selling a domain in installments?

You can activate a Lease plan for buyers to pay for your domain in monthly installments in your account settings. The term of the lease plan can vary from 12 months to 60 months. DomainEasy adds a service fee to all lease plans, based on the term of the plan selected. Please review the Pricing page for details > https://www.domaineasy.com/pricing

Once the buyer initiates the transaction by making the initial installment payment, we assume control of your domain until all installments are paid.

In the event of buyer default, you keep the installment payments received, and ownership of the domain reverts back to you.

When can I anticipate receiving payment for the domain I sold?

Payment is typically issued within 24 business hours of the transfer of the domain to the buyer.

What payment or transfer options are available to sellers?

Currently BankWire, Wise, Wire and we will be adding Paypal soon. If the buyer chooses escrow.com, then the payment will be handled by Escrow.com

Can I personalize my For Sale page?

Absolutely! You have the freedom to tailor the appearance of your sales pages directly from the DomainEasy dashboard within the Settings section. Navigate to the Sales page tab and then proceed to the Appearance tab. Alternatively, you can modify the appearance of individual sales pages for each domain from the Manage Domains section of the Domain Easy dashboard. Just select the desired domain to access the Appearance tab for customization options.

Buying a Domain​

Do I have to pay for your services?

DomainEasy does not charge buyers any commission. Transactions handled through brokers may incur commissions specified by the broker.

Please note that service fees may be charged to facilitate processing for some payment types. If the buyer pays with a credit card, there is a 3.5% fee. Payments through wire transfers generate a $50 USD processing fee. Domains purchased on a Lease-to-Own plan will include service fees which are assessed based on the length of the lease term.

Which payment methods do you support?

Several payment methods are available through trusted providers. Current forms of payment include, bank wire, VISA, MasterCard, PayPal and escrow.com.

How do I claim my domain after purchase?

After DomainEasy receives your payment, a Transfer Specialist will begin the process of securing the domain ownership from the seller. Within 24 hours of payment, we will contact you to provide an overview of the next steps and transfer instructions.

Please be aware that the process can vary depending on the domain extension and registrar. We guide you through the transfer process, and work with you until you have obtained full ownership of your domain.

How do I know my payment is safe?

At DomainEasy, we use Stripe to process payments. Stripe is a trusted and secure payment platform utilized by millions of merchants across the globe. It ensures your payment information is protected through encryption and employs advanced security measures, providing you with a safe and reliable payment experience.

If you as the buyer would prefer to use Escrow.com to handle your payments, this is always an option as well.

Great platform & nice to have you all onboard. For long domain, the text is truncated/deleted in Mobile View can you make it fit well into the screen. And do include domain PUSH functionality as well to like Dynadot, SAV etc. Thank you.

Seller information:
We have a development push coming in the next 24 hours so that sellers can input their information related to payouts and tax. We have been doing most of our sales with US sellers, Brokers and escrow.com so this was an oversight on our end.

Chargebacks: we use stripe and their chargeback tools to mitigate chargebacks as well as limiting the dollar amount we will accept via credit card. We also do manual reviews of charges that are deemed high risk and can push the buyer to use escrow/wire or wise if needed.

If the domain has a conflict on the platform we will ask you to update the nameserver or add a txt record to the domain name. We protect the buyer by not releasing any funds until we have secured the domain name and can cancel any transaction that looks fraudulent.

Our goal is to build a best-in-class domain sales platform. We have a strong group of investors who are excited about what we’ve achieved so far and are eager to support our expansion. Our 0% commission offer is highly competitive, providing an exceptional opportunity for domain sellers. While we currently generate revenue through leases, we are preparing to launch several commission-based features in the coming months. Previews of these features will be available on NamePros, allowing you to be among the first to learn about them.

We have no plans to remove the 0% commission offer, though we can’t guarantee it will last forever. As many of you are aware, marketplaces occasionally change commission rates. However, we commit to providing at least three months' notice of any changes to this incredible offer.

I have listed about 34 domains to try your platform, but am having a problem getting the the buy it now and lease options to show on their landing pages. Instead they show the inquire today ti secure this domain page.see example below How can I fix this?
