advice Domain name up for sale at a premium price?

Hi, i purchased a domain not too long ago and was checking on the availability recently just for fun and found out that it is up for sale and at a premium price. How come? I did not put it up for sale and how can it be available when I've already purchased it?

I don't bother, I leave them up.

Since my domains point to my lander eventually the interested party ends up contacting me when they punch the domain into the address bar.

It's probably just the previous owner being lazy and not updating his auction listings.

It could also be one of the many online scammers hoping to get a monster sale after which they'll "buy" the domain from you for a lot less, then just send the transfer code/use their buyer's details when conducting the transaction with you.

Free advertising if your plan is to flip the domain.
Tho I would mention if your plan is to develop the domain as a business then contact them and have them remove it.
