well, this time i nearly said it all in the title... ;)

i got a couple of domains that are made-up words (or maybe do have a meaning in some language!?!) that sound good and do have a lot of searchresults if you just type the name into google. so how much could this add to the value of a domain?

if let´s say someone would want to sell his/her domain 'qwertzuiop.com' (just an example) and you´d compare the selling price if this word would have 0 or 1.200.000 searchresults at google. how much would the difference be?

do you guys have any experiences with selling domainnames like this?

thanks, martin

The thing is, you have to search for names with the quotes on. you dont search for Financial Investments, you search for "Financial Investments"

this usually gets the google results down from 100million to 3 million.

the results, to me, matter, but the keywords matter more

"Property Broker" pulls up just 100,000 results, but both are two very strong keywords, so that adds to their value

hi sashas.

well, you are probably right, but i´m talking about SINGLE-word-domains! so might forget about the quotes... :hehe:

tha, martin

and to be more precise: e.g. i´m talking about the domain NAMIENTO.COM which gets around 750.000 searchresults in google if you look for "NAMIENTO" (with or without quotes :) )...

if a single word domain is getting less than a million search results, I wouldnt reg it

thats just my benchmark, I could be wrong...but usually if a single word term has less than 1 million results, then to me, its not too popular. Of course, if you're talking about some foreign language, the rules change

and besides, I really think that all good .coms have been regged...that's why I've been concentrating on other ccTLDs
