I got a few email from several marketplace that let to inform they are removing all the domains that are with Corona phrase!
If this happen so why registry didn't locked the phrase Corona so none spent their penny to regd those names.
However, I seen ebola.org sold at $16k and some other ebola extensions sold. Wasn't it unethical to sale those names!!!
If Corona names are unethical to sale then registers and Marketplace should need to take down all virus related domains, child porn names, arms related domains.

N.B: We never know what purposes domain seller will spend the money. It could be real Corona Domains seller will donate the money among corona affected people.

oh my, that's ridiculous!

I understand the motivation but generally governments can use their .gov (or equivalent) names that people are already familiar with (Example in the UK it's https://gov.uk/coronavirus and https://nhs.uk/coronavirus) or another one that people can easily remember. We've also learned that governments have the power to seize their cctld domains that they feel are useful for their nation's efforts.

It's like telling celebs that are profiting from people being in lockdown that they're not allowed to start doing live streams unless they did before the outbreak. Or banning promotions during said streams 'because corona'.

I get pig sick of companies wading into these things with their political (or other virtue signalling) opinions and policies... I can't even have a packet of crisps (AKA in America as chips) without there being a political bias associated with them.
