opinion Do you check your dropped-long-before domains to see what happened to them?

i had my first two domains more than 20 years ago. both one-worders and dropped after 1 year.
one is .net and now belongs to a company with both international and national clients.
other one is an .org and now seems to belong to an association.
this is not gamble, this is realty.

ps: maybe you can even invest in Mars (hello SpaceX) or Proxima Centauri, simply because of proximity.

what are your thoughts ?

I occasionally type in the url of a domain I used to own just to see whats on it currently. For many of them, its just a lander lol

I do it out of curiosity once in a while. A lot of them are either re-regged but often not in use or they're for sale by someone else (huge domains seem to like my drops).
