discuss Do for-profit companies also buy .ORG?

Based on some of investment that I was thinking of making in .ORG, one question that came up was, who would be my potential buyer?

Do for-profit companies buy their .ORG and if yes, why?

a) To protect their brand from someone taking up the .ORG
b) For CSR activities
c) To run charity and non-profit activities

If no, is it a good investment to own .ORG of organizations who are using .IO or .CO or even .COM or .NET?

I have always been confused when I see the .ORG available for a .COM which is in use aggressively.
Is that a good buy from a commercial perspective?

Also if the owner didn't care to buy it along with the .COM, who do I end up selling?

If you're buying another's brand then nobody wasted money if a generic then next using term.
