DN Journal Sales Report: Back on Track - Domain Sales Rebounded Strongly This Week

The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. The aftermarket got back on track this week with a solid outing led by one of the year’s five biggest country code sales at an eye-popping $300,000. The AfternicDLS handled that sale and another six-figure transaction was booked as the first wave of completed live auction sales from last month’s T.R.A.F.F.I.C. New York conference was reported by RickLatona.com. Sedo just missed posting a third six-figure sale with a two-letter .com that came in at $99,000. There was a lot of variety on our all extension leader board with eight ccTLDs crashing the .com party, along with three .nets and a .info. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm

domaining could see a rise if people start getting out of the stock market

Good to see things getting back on track, with everything going on in the world markets, it seems that there is still scope out there for good prices for that right domain :)

Funny how on Afternic, the sale listing for freecreditreport,co,uk has been removed ie not made public.

I'm sure the buyer will be pleased it's reported on DNJournal for the world to see! LOL

Exciting news for sure. Investing in domains is better than stock market speculation.

The seller (Nokta) specifically gave Afternic permission to release the prices to us so there was no NDA

To have a market bubble prices would have to be out of line. The domain aftermarket is no where close to having that problem.

I think (hope) that any domain bubble was slowly pierced over the last 8-9 months. "Dotcoms" were treated with perhaps too much caution after the last bubble...
