The weekly Domain Sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. The past week included a long holiday weekend in the U.S., but buyers apparently skipped the beach to keep fishing for bargains. There were plenty of 5-figure sales again, including a trio above 30K. On the new extension side of the ledger, .biz led the way for the 5th week in a row with a handsome mid 4-figure sale at Afternic. Read all about it through the link below:

It just goes on and on, I have an offer at Sedo at a reasonable $xx,xxx - seeking a bit more, fingers crossed.

Used to pick up some good names at Namewinner for not too much now even very mediocre names are mid $xxx min. Indicative of the current market.

Great report as usual Ron

I wish you well with your negotiations, I think we all would like to know what the domain is but I understand your apprehension to disclose. BTW you have some terrific Indian names in your signature.

Surprising to see no mention of teletextholidays.com which went for a massive $125000 at Snapnames on Sunday night.

The domain is resolving & whois updated so perhaps it will top next weeks list?

Won't hit the charts until paid for and transferred, nevertheless, huge numbers :kickass:

I've been curious about this too, so I did a little research into what "Teletext" is.

--------------
"Teletext was launched in the UK on 23 September 1974. Well over half the TVs in the UK are now equipped to view teletext, and it’s often the first source of choice for up-to-the-minute news, sport and lottery results, especially as there are no charges for phone calls or online usage.

Today it’s supposedly hated (or loved) for its dated look; with the trademark chunky graphics and a maximum of 7 colours, a radical overhaul is needed. However, traditional teletext is unlikely to get any better - advances have been made to improve the appearance, but these have largely been ignored by teletext providers and TV manufacturers, particularly in the UK. The future here lies with digital teletext, which is so far removed from the analogue sort, it isn’t really teletext at all."

I also found the .CO.UK version is a well established site - www.TeletextHolidays.co.uk

Learn something new everyday. :)
