discuss Did some hand registers today. Are all the good ones taken?

I was free for a couple of hours today and thought to hand register some domains.
I read that buying cheaply on aftermarket is the only way now to flip profitably as almost every good name has been registered.
I am sharing the 4 domains that I hand registered today to get an advice on whether I am buying good stuff or just shooting crap.

dollbarbie is probably a trademark, so do grace delete if possible. I've seen worse domains...
but if oldwine dot co? doesn't fit in .co too well...try to make your name match extension (.co= company: book.co, envelope.co, advertising.co) yes you can't reg those good ones but get the idea.

In my opinion I think sticking to generic is best. do keywords or things that has exacting meaning. oldwine is good, it matches like generic. but seducey is just made up...some people like these, but I think it's shooting craps. Betmogul.com would be a domain worth but the plural hurts it some...try doing better, get very exacting ones if you can. I think it's the most sure bet.

everything with sure value, signle words generics, etc.. has been regged long time ago. age of domain is not as meaningless as many like to claim. its in fact far from it.

the rest of it all is just you, the casino, and a roulette... and house usually wins.

My view is 20+ years after the internet became mainstream you are unlikely to find a handreg worth much that has NEVER been registered. Sometimes however names which were registered for years expire and no one picks them immediately. Well, Huge Domains is changing that somewhat but recently I did handreg a domain originally registered in 2007 which had expired. It is a three-word .COM but it is geo real estate name.

That is exactly what I thought also. Old wine may turn to vinegar but it is the only reg that looks any good to me. Then again one man's junk is another man's treasure. Some people actually bought the AMC gremlin.

creataweb I agree that name is very offensive. People will judge their character with that acquisition. I would drop it also. Some names are better left unregistered.
