discuss Did BTC and other coins just influence domainers?

I have not been online for some time now and I noticed that many domainers were trying to drop some nice liquid domains in bulk. With the latest increase in value for the virtual coins, could it be that the domainers are seeing that market as more interesting at the moment?
I remember some time by the beginning of this year, the chinese has also influenced the virtual coin market for some months..
