This motion to impeach Bush was accepted by congress and will be reviewed by the judiciary committee.

Presidential approval ratings are the lowest ever during the history of America - even lower than right before Nixon resigned.

Congress approval ratings are also in the single digits.


With less than a half of a year to go in the Bush/Cheney stampede, my question is this impeachment process coming out too late?

Can the president be held accountable for treason and high crimes after he is out of office?

I believe so, but I'm not sure to what effect.

Likely, these articles of impeachment had a chance to pass had they been introduced two years ago, however it will be really easy to fillibuster this and set it aside until after Bush and Cheney are on the sidelines.

It's only been a few hours since the drama over your thread about the 911 tragedy, and you've decided to start a *new* political thread, this time calling the leaders our country "criminals".

Are you trying to start trouble?

For the record, I'm not a Republican, and I'm not a particularly big fan of Bush and Cheney, so I don't want you to think I have any extra motive here. My only concern is the peace and well being of this community and it's members.

I was a Republican earlier this year for the primary elections, but I'm independent - I do not fall for the false left - right paradigm - as it seems you intuitively are leaning this direction in your ideals as well.
