Hello Everyone,

I am a total beginner over here. I need some genuine advice on the definition of Backorder and its usage.
I searched many articles on the internet but I am not able to understand. Is there something which can put in simple terms.

Hello,

First, the standard definition of the word backorder would be helpful:
  • back order noun: a business order yet to be fulfilled because stock is unavailable.
In the context of domains, it's an agreement by the person placing the backorder to buy a domain name if it becomes available again (e.g., if it's deleted by its current registrant or it expires).

Once you place a backorder with a service, that service will attempt to purchase it on your behalf before anyone else. This is useful because the computer programs run by these services can register a domain name much faster than a human can by hand.
