I'm looking to sell our DiscussLaws dot com site as well as a suite of other Attorney and Finance domain names. I outsourced the development of this project and it took entirely way to long to complete. While waiting on this project to get finished we launched a portal that is taking off and requires 100% of my time. I really want to get some of my money back that I spent on developing this site.
Features
The site has a four main sections. It has a Legal Forum (phpbb), a legal dictionary, an Attorney database and a Legal Forms section. The phpbb forum software was free, the legal dictionary was purchased, the attorney database was purchased and the legal forms were part of a turnkey subscription service I belonged to.
The site is optimized very well, some features include rotating the newest posts on the front page. A browse attorney section with listings for each city and a search function where you can enter any string after the domain name and /search/ to parse the attorney, forum, forms and dictionary databases. This feature shows results from each of the databases that contains your URL search query. This is a custom website, it is not a generic CMS.
The site has a 2Checkout merchant account so that attorneys looking to purchase priority placement may do so (since the site is new we don't have any paid subscribers). There is an admin section where you can view what attorneys have purchased priority placement. Registration will allow an Attorney to purchase the top attorney listing, input a basic listing and update an existing listing. I use a wufoo form for any updates an attorney may want to make to their listing.
Revenue
Im only showing YPN and the site hasn't sold any top attorney listings. I've uploaded some terms to MSN and the site is averaging around $2 per click with conversions of around .7%. I've only spent a few bucks at MSN so the current revenue isn't a factor. This site is to be sold on potential and domain name values.
Website
The site will have a PR next update. Im assuming it will also have thousands of pages available for indexing because of the browse Attorney page with 100,000+ entries so in actuality it could have 100,000+ indexed pages. I've also put some external links out there.
I can't spend any time on it. If I keep it I'll just exchange some links here and there and it probably won't take off the way it would if someone spent some quality time with it. Our new project is taking up all of my time and there is no slow down in the near future.
I'm just looking to recoup some of my investment. The site has a little more than $6000 in outsourced programming several hundred bucks worth of databases and the design is worth something as well.
The BIN is $6000 payable through escrow.com. I may have this listed on other sites. By timestamp, the first person to post sold gets it.
