Crypto-Engineering Domain Crypteering.com, which was registered on June 13th 2024 received an astounding 1 Million Dollar+ Atom appraisal. Now fast forward 10 weeks later and Atom has reappraised the domain at a decrepit $2,199.

Thoughts??!?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
exactly. Im not arguing. i think the prices on the retail platforms are ridiculous too but hey, i dont wont to be bullied out of the industry either.
If this domain was priced at $2K, I doubt it would fly off the shelf to be honest.

There are really no metrics to support a high price, other than some random outlier appraisal that has been spammed a few times on NamePros.

rite but dont you see it, Namepros worked. If it had been the old infrastructure of business anyway with no view of other conflicting places and prices, Atom.com wouldve kept the original appraisal anyway if not raised the appraisal because with ignorance and need comes what? price gouging anyway.

Sure thing.

The domain is Crypteering. There is also crypteer and crypteers.

That aside, the variant Cryptoneering / cryptoneer / cryptoneers is a far more brandable.

Domains like this don't sell for crazy members, no matter how many new members are promoting it.

Brad
The point I’m making is Imagineering was a made up “nothing” word at the time as well. Then became a Billion dollar Engineering term for the word imagination. This on the other hand is involving engineering cryptocurrency and other digital assets. I think it’s the people with open minds who become extremely wealthy.

and they dont fly off the shelf of their pricing anyway. Thats exactly why the pattern of holding domains for 2 -10 years happens anyways.

yes, but see someone like disney got it. if joe schmo had gotten it and made a knick knack store selling a package for becoming a creative writer for only $99, it wouldve flopped for one and the value of the domain wouldve been crap as well. It all depends on money wanting to make something else money.

I can't remember the last time I saw a domain like this sell for a couple hundred thousand dollars.

Brad
How do you know if the owner hasn’t already turned down a low six figure offer? The domain is open to offers under the 1.25MM asking price.

Yeah, there are many made up brands that have value because of what the company did.

It's not like Google, FaceBook, WhatsAPP, Instagram, etc. have much natural value as raw domains.

Disney didn't become a billion dollar brand because of some random term. They did it via theme parks, movies, cartoons, etc.

Thinking this domain is worth a million, or close, is delusional.

Yeah, you know hand regged terms that have basically no competition get six figure offers all the time.

I know I am turning down at least 4-5 a day. It gets tedious having to turn down all those lowballs.

I hope someone acquires it and lists their Memecoins/Tokens/Digital Assets on there and gets millions of dollars from investors. Just to prove the doubters wrong. The purchase price could end up being chump change compared to what comes back in. What will Brad say then?

Keep me updated!

Hopefully they also acquire the better variants.

Some terms are yet to be coined. It’s the innovators who are responsible for that.

if you are, you know bitcoin was what .0003 when it started? Now look at it, and new crypto coins are being created almost everyday. See it in everything!

I mean, with that logic you could literally register anything.

Blorby.com. All I have to do is innovate the term.

$1M here we come!

I wouldn’t say that’s apples to apples. Crypteering is potentially the best way to describe Engineering new Cryptocurrency. Blorby doesn’t describe anything or intertwine any meaning.

This is the type of name that would sit on atom for $2100 for 3 years without selling before being dropped.

Yes, Digital Real Estate is appreciating at a much higher rate than actual Real Estate. By 1000x.

But, spamming the same thing on multiple threads could really help "innovate" the value of the term.
