Come check out my new site and tell me what you think. Its Cromster.com, a site dedicated to online scavenger hunts. I think its going to be pretty fun. Just to let you know before you give it a bad review. It is made to be simple, something everyone can do. Let me know what you think.

Pretty damn good idea, very simplistic - almost too simplistic interface, however, you need to provide more detailed instructions as to what to do to find the items in question. Post links as answers, search a picture for hidden items, etc. The easiest way would probably be to place a "mock" Q&A.

You could also use some custom visuals, question marks, 3D maze images, anything that visually transports what your site is about.

Bring out a list of winners, not listing their emails, but listing their first names.
Find out whether you can extend your scavenger hunts to be hunts with time trials. Bring hunts where you're looking for specific items related to a topic and see whether you can find sponsors,....there's a boatload of opportunity there. Great Idea!

A few modifications, more visual action and you have a solid winner! :tu:!

gjsys, thanks for your detailed review. I was actually in the process of creating a help guide for submitting answers and items, see if it is easy find and understand.

I do plan to put out a list of winners once the site gets going with more winners. So far everyone is still having trouble with the first one.

Can you explain more of what you mean here? "Find out whether you can extend your scavenger hunts to be hunts with time trials."

I do feel that this has endless opportunities. Thanks and keep them coming.

Time trials as in;

a user that is registered picks a "hunt", which may be content driven by an advertiser. Once the user activates the "hunt" a timer starts giving the user a countdown timer xx:xx to complete the "hunt" and click the submit button at which the time stops. The fastest time of all submission wins the item. This can easily be played weekly and is a near PERFECT advertising platform since it's besides conventional banner/scraper, etc. advertising.
There can be A LOT more to this, such as demographic based hunts, educational hunts, it's all a question of who you or your advertisers want to reach.
Before i go into too much detail, there's a bit more for you to do, but you're on to something REALLY neat there.

Thanks for your replys but I have a question for you guys. Do you think I should just make one big search a day? People don't have a schedule to come to the site since searches start whenever the previous search ends.

New problem guys, other sites seem to thinks its a scam? I had some people review it and they said, well I dont even know exactly what they were saying but what can I do to make it look more legit. Its not a scam, I've already paid one person. I asked if he would give a testomonial but all he said to put was "Cromster Rules". I know I need testomonials but can you suggest anything else. People were saying something about my google ads, well thats the only way I can make money to pay people right now.

Check out our hunt today to see how this can be used to advertise sites, the question about FusionCash is what can be done to advertise. By doing this it guarantees that people will be sent to the website that is being advertised. Most people pay for banner ads that don't even get that many clicks, with this they have to visit the site. Anybody else agree that this is a good idea with the advertisements? Only thing is I need to limit them to like one per hunt so they dont get boring and all about advertising.

Nice idea!
I have a few thoughts:

1) Advertising
I like the advertising within the game itself (and that you limit it). You may offer more exposure by rotating ads from sponsors on the front page for an extended time beyond the one game. Maybe also create a list of past sponsors at the bottom of the advertising opportunities page to keep the ads alive.

2) Membership / Community
Your idea could very well build a large following. Consider a way you could have individuals join. Helpful if you are able to run mutliple games at once in the future. Once registered they could participate and maybe even communicate (forums) with each other. This will also help with the next idea:

3) User Input
Ask users to submit unusual sites / content from around the internet. Get the users involved in building ideas for future games. Suggest videos, pictures, etc.

4) Niche / Theme Games
Maybe setup games on request. If you ask for sponsors from here you may want to setup a side game based around the domain name industry. Your prizes (free domain registration for example) would be valuable to this niche group. Maybe sceduled (weekly) games for such groups. Holiday games would be another option.
