Having relatives and friends scattered all over the globe, I am getting an overload of input (some on the record and some off the record).

My intention for this thread is for community members from around the world to post first hand stories and/or links to information sources that, for the most part, should be reliable.

In my community, just outside a major southeastern city, 'assets' have been placed. Only because I have friends in both high and low places have I heard about some of this. At this point it is only some basic medical supplies that should be equally distributed anyway in preparation for a natural emergency (hurricane/wildfire/etc.).

I will start with posting a link to a site with current data that seems to come from an aggregate of sources and hope others will do the same as they come across similar sites/pages.

Because of the 'typhoid Mary' spread-ability of this disease, I feel we may be in for a really large spread globally which will impact the global economy and through extension, retail domain prices.

Just wanted to share the info below in the event it has not been posted. My hopes have been that the summer heat would reduce the virus...it will, but not at 'normal' temps. On surfaces exposed to sunlight (car exterior/interior, etc) that will retain significant heat it will likely die in a short time.

I like to err on the side of caution when it comes to distancing - ~3 meters distance for me, when possible - because things can happen that you aren't ready for. Like someone sneezing or coughing in your direction when you aren't expecting it, and they don't cover up - had that happen about 3 weeks ago, from a stranger. Or like you said, someone/a stranger is a spitter when they talk and you aren't distanced enough from it. Or 2 people are unmasked and talking while you pass them by, and a wind gusts in your direction.

ok so just want to do a running list of cures and treatments for coronavirus that I've read about. If anyone can add I'd appreciate.

1. Man treated with experimental Ebola virus drug.
2. Synthetic Antibody to help treat coronavirus patients.
3. Hydroxychloroquine + azithromycin (HIV drug helps to fight infection in someone with auto immune problem)
4. I've read that Zinc is an element used to destroy the virus itself once some other drug breaks down the virus protein sheath. (can someone find out what the drug is that breaks down the virus protein sheath so that the zinc can go in and kill the virus? I read the article but now can't find it.)
5. Another man was treated with high doses of Vitamin C and Zinc.
6. and of course antibody plasma treatment.
7. Another one is Prazosin.
8 Chloroquine in combination with Zinc.

Also side note. Copper surfaces are anti-microbial and studies show copper can be anti-viral.

Ultraviolet is also known to kill viruses and steam cleaners.

They have ultraviolet phone cleaners and flashlights.

Steam at 200 degrees kills the virus on surfaces. only really need 60 degrees. 200 is overkill but I like it.

Peace of mind is priceless. Got me a Mccullough Steamer. with hand sanitizers and alcohol and disinfectants and wipes disappearing you need to prepare for when it never comes back. It's hard to come home and have to waste those valuable products just to sanitize everything soon as you get home.

with hand sanitizers at $10 for 8 ounces I've seen online. I rather get a steamer to clean surfaces and all products I bring home like boxes, Amazon orders, groceries.

steam the crap out of all of them. lol feeling like a "ghostbuster" with this thing. Run time is only 90 minutes.

but they have one that's more money that can go for 120 minutes of steam.

The nature of a virus is to mutate...think of the yearly flu vaccine. Those in control of that inoculation have to 'guess' at which strain will be likely to become prevalent and mass produce months in advance. That is why there can be from 1 to 4 (4 is the most I've experienced) strains provided for in the one shot. I'm afraid covid19 will have similar issues...hope I am wrong.
