Have people had much success with doing this? I'm thinking of regging a name that's quite catchy, and has a great generic meaning, but combines an English word and a French word. I'm just not sure if I'm severely limiting my selling pool by doing this.

Last year I registered RedBlanc.com

A friend of mine wanted to create a blog on best wines. It never happened.

But I still think the domain would have been amazing for that purpose.
- Red wine
- Blanc (white in french) wine

I think a two languages domain can be a smart choice if both words are relevant to the company.

Yeah, that's a good example. Blanc is a nice choice because most English speakers will know what it means. I'm concerned that mine might be less well-known.

I own one of this kind, it's Alwan/Print//com.

Alwan is Arabic for Color and by googling the domain name I came across a company with a similar domain: AlwanPrinting.com
