Besides him buying .com all day long he said this in a recent interview:

"While domainers have taken to new gTLDs in greater numbers than Schilling anticipated, demand among worldwide consumers has been slower than expected, Schilling said."

Kind of goes back to what I said. Sell .com to end users, sell new gltds to newbies/domainers.

So he's buying everything he buys and selling everything he sells.

He's basically the ultimate domain dealer. I'm not surprised tbh.

If you follow the OP's other activity on the forum a picture is starting to form. Account been dormant for a decade and suddenly there's a whole plethora of posts popping up from this member.

I've seen others who appear to have either for/against .com agendas round here before. You can usually spot them because their posts are basically propaganda, comprised of very carefully selected pieces of information, that whilst factually correct, are out of context and designed to support a conclusion that was arrived at before hand.

I think it's pretty clear here that @Rhythm8 decided .com prices crashing was an idea they'd like to push and then went out and selectively gathered information that supports this conclusion and omitted everything else.

Bwhahaah - who in their right mind pays $15 000 for InsuranceSupermarket.com

An end user. All this thread is really telling us is the difference between the .com end user and wholesale markets.

he is still buying up a lot of legacy domains. if i were to believe they had no future i would sell as many domains as possible not buy more.

the prices on his better domains have not been changed in the past years only inflation adjusted maybe.

does not look he is liquidating his holdings so he must believe they have a future.

etc

GD auctions are 99% resellers. The original purchase was by end user that had an idea that did not materialize and/or went bust.

You cannot compare wholesale/reseller to retail/enduser.

If anything, it shows those are very good names if they hold so much reseller value and EquityInvestor will sell again for mid $x,xxx or higher.

Dot com haters should have been prosecuted and should be in jail, Instead they are running for prominence in what looks like a rigged poll. The poll is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing dot com haters — but also at many polling places — SAD.

2019: xyz registry folds like an accordion :xf.smile:

2019 .xyz -1 cent registrations meaning the registry pays you 1 cent for each domain that you register.

2020 xyz registry folds like an accordion

it looks like Schilling is making a lot of money with AM radio. Many of these sales still have the BIN prices listed (40-200k sale price). Unroll is 180k for example. Math.net 140k

he is making fortunes selling outdated .com and .net

Capt Obvious asks. "to what end?"

Some people are employed to create online personalities that push agendas. Verisign do it too (I believe) and it's not new or exclusive to domaining. It's also a very popular practice in politics.
