if you have fireworks you can use this free tutorial on slicing images and putting html on it:

CoffeeCup Free Image Slicer 1.0 is free before for download but i cant find it on their site that's the easiest laymen's tool for slicing images.

yes go for it,do a google search for tutorials, good luck, I think that layout is a little too dark.
