what about contacting end users directly if you have a good short domain , is it a good strategy ?

The problem is with end users unless it is .COM, or at least one of the Big 3 (COM/NET/ORG), you end up having to pitch the extension itself.

LOL....that is so true. Whenever I get my spam emails pitching a domain name similar to one I already have, the first part is explaining the extension and why I need the extension.

This is true. I have sold .co this way but it takes a lot of time and a whole bunch of effort.

There's a ton of .co closeouts at Godaddy.

Most of them are junk, of course, but there may be a few gemmy keywords.

I recently picked up aqui ("here" in Spanish) and voter, although I won't be picking up any more.

Too expensive.

Sedo is a marketplace. They will show you the good stuff.

Ask yourself a question, do you think you make money with your .co portfolio?

I have my own answer. I don't make any money with my .co portfolio. I registered for defensive purpose only.

Did I receive an offer? Nope. Nada. Zero.

Hello,
The positive connotation is added by ME, not only bySedo. It concerns the average selling price of .CO-domains. And this is not low, even comparing with .net and .com !

Of course is going to be positive (slanted), they have a vested interest in the extension's success. Here's a quote from the report:

PHP:
"Sedo recently entered into an exclusive contract with .CO
Internet to provide private brokerage services"
In reply to =

Hello,

here a report of Sedo of "2 years " of .CO-extension.".

It is quite positive !

Good sales there but I'm still not investing in .co now or in the future.

IMO, from a domainer's point of view, the only .COs worth investing in are premium 1-worders. No low/medium-quality keywords, 2+ worders or random LLLs, even if they're triple premium.

I only picked up a few .CO drops this year:

Semantic
Solaire ("solar" in French)
Mietwohnung ("rental apartment" in German)
MobileStrategy
Petit ("small" in French)

Plus 3-4 decent LLLs that were private purchases.

I recently sold a Spanish .co for $1200. Buyer contacted me through my whois e-mail.

I haven't contacted any end-users for any of my .co domains. Has anyone had any luck getting any sales when contacting potential end-users?
