ChoiceOne will transition their website domain to “choiceone.bank” from “choiceone.com” on Jan. 23.

Switching TO .bank FROM .com doesn't make any sense from consumer perspective. Only advantage is brand protection.

All historic emails (with .com) would need to be migrated to a TLD (.bank) which may or may not survive.

This is a costlier mistake, from consumer perspective.
