CarPart.ws / Worth the buy? OVT over 1 million

This domain with a .ws extension are the exact words containing an OVT over 1 million. Being that it's not a .com or any of the other major extensions, is there any real value to it yet, taking into thought search engines don't consider domain extensions when searching. Seemed like a good one to snatch up anyway due to the off-the-chart OVT, maybe to sell to any of the car part sites looking to brand themselves further or just to hold on to. Thanks in advance to all those that respond.

I think the value will depend on the development as it is a two word domain with an extension that is not very popular even if the OVT is high.

Did you buy it from the secondary market or freshly register it?

I recommend checking .ws sales. They are one of the weakest ccTLD's available. Also, assuming that search engines dont "value" TLD's differently is a mistake... Because they do.

The issue here is how much search traffic is going to "soak" through the filter of TLD's into a .ws - the truth is - Not a single visitor. Dont bother with .ws - most domainers know to stay away.

2) Bodybuilding.ws which went $340. I don't have to make a sales pitch since the domain has already been sold, but that is a terrific keyword with huge marketing potential (enough to overcome the seldom used extension). <> from dnjournal website

I read that "domain extensions are totally irrelevant when it comes to search engines." So this statement is not true?

Anyone think they can use this domain name in Western Samoa?

As Justin has mentioned, there's not many .ws sales & the extention is a very weak ccTLD. I would say value lies in development, unless it's a very strong keyword.
