Can one buy, sell or rent out .edu domains?

Have clients wanting to buy or rent (use) and also clients that wish to sell exisiting domains with .edu tld (non-US)

Anyone know if this can be done and if so the value?

From what I know, only organizations that work with education and have a license can register/use .edu domains.. I can't verify this for sure though..

Read away. Unless your client meets the eligibility then the answer is no.

Thanks! I have read this but it appears to only affect US .edu domains.

The .edu domain is intended for accredited post-secondary educational U.S. institutions.

I am asking specifically about non US versions. In India they use .ac.in and the UK uses .ac.uk for their accredited universities.
Others use .edu.XX for their accredited universities

I have clients that want to buy or rent these to offer their services ( apparantly they are educational services) and another that wishes to sell or rent out their .edu.xx or .ac.xx domains. I assume they may be useful to those in education.

But I can find nothing other than the US TOS. Is it the same as the US TOS?

Yep, the .edu domain extension is not available to general public unless they are part of some educational institute/organization and so on.
