I think some people here sell their domain on their own landing pages. But how does the process work? I mean I may need a landing page, right?
Then a middleman like escrow...
But of course I know I will miss the exposure of other marketplaces but I want to see my options.
Any idea?

Yes, believe it or not, but to sell on your own landing page you might need your own landing page. And then you will need a middleman like escrow, yes.

But what is the real question here? You want to create your own page from scratch? Godspeed - WordPress. However it will not be as easy as you might think. To create a page is easy but to put it under some sort of management system is the whole different story.

Pretty much all registrars nowadays offer landing pages. I'd say that so far probably Efty has the maximum features for customization, however it comes at a monthly fee.

I would suggest only going for your own landing pages if you have a clear plan for marketing and analytics, and are also willing to spend a few thousands on creating a good CMS. But if you just want a good ''look'' of the page - better go with one of the existing options from registrars - you'll save many hours of work, and lots of money.

NamePros gives you landing page option. You can use it and communicate with the buyer directly.

You can also simultaneously list your domain on other marketplaces. When the nameservers are not pointing to them they will just charge you more commission.
Sedo -15%
Afternic - 25-30%
Atom - 7.5-15% (Standard & Plus commission)

Thank you all fot the prompt responses. Will the landine pages installed on my server have email funtionalities? Because I have to be notified if someone gives me an offer.

I think Namepro's landing page is cool. My question is if it has a buy now landing page and if it accepts payments.

So how does Namepros work? When a buyer pays, Namepros receives the money, notifies me and then after I transfer, Namepros sends me the money, right? Or how does it work?

The buyer pays you directly or through an intermediary service of your choice, such as Escrow.com.

Once you or the payment processor confirms payment, you transfer the domain to the buyer.

Easy, peasy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I already added two domains. The landing page is cool but nice if we have 2 or 3 types. GEnerally everything seems neat and ready to rock.

Excellent!

The landing page is cool but nice if we have 2 or 3 types. Generally everything seems neat and ready to rock.
Currently, we have 3 lander types (in addition to 2000+ design customizations):
  1. Unpriced domain lander for domains without a price.
  2. Priced domain lander with price shown after email confirmation.
  3. Priced domain lander with price shown immediately.
We also have more options coming soon.

NamePros has very nice landing pages and FREE to use. Escrow has low commission fees.
Brandable domains benefit from being listeted on a marketplace, having a description and maybe a logo, however keyword domains don't really need the exposure of a marketplace, which may play a role if you want to auction the domain. I belive the first thing a potential buyer does for a desired keyword name is typing the domain into a browser to see what comes up, so paying 15% to 30% to a marketplace makes almost no sens to me. Many will say that marketplaces put your domain in front of potential buyers, which I believe is true when you sell brandables, because the buyers don't really know what they are looking for, opposite to keyword domains where buyers know exactly what they want. Just my 2cents.

Just make sure you don't list your domain on Afternic while custom DNS is active. If it sells, you'll be charged 30% of the selling price.

15% commission is actually a very acceptable percentage, assuming the marketplace adds value. A marketplace like Atom does this in many ways, such as handling payments securely, negotiating with buyers if desired, 24x7 chat for buyers, massive ad spending for your domains with images, tracking competition & new startups with the same name, free White Label Marketplace on your own domain, etc.

I already said that I agree with all this if we talk about brandable domains. For keyword domains I prefer to pay Escrow fees which are definitely way lower and this days you can install an AI agent to chat with potential buyers via email, whatsapp or whatever channel they contact you.

Not only for brandables, also for other domains.

In my opinion, everything that goes beyond 5% commission for helping you sell something is just to much. You can do it on your own an save money. You would never pay a 15% to 30% commission to a real estate agent to help you sell your house, would you ?

I'm more than happy to pay others if they provide value and peace of mind.
