I am thinking about getting started in trading domains and would like some advice on buying them under my name as a hobby. Do most hobbyist just buy and register them under their name or is forming an LLC the way to go? I am coming at this from a liability standpoint and want to minimize my risk. I have been reading as much as I can about trademarks and infringement and I understand I need to do research on the name before I do anything. Just curious what everyone’s thoughts are?

I think incorporating makes sense for many reasons, but it might be too early. It's better than you buy and try to sell a few domains in a personal capacity before stepping up operations. If you have no or little success, then it's not worth pursuing your ventures.
At the very least, your corporation should be usable for other business purposes. I would say for the vast majority of domainers this is overkill. Domain names don't sell better because they are owned by a corporation.
