Brandmo.com Buy Requests

Hope you're all having a great week. I'm creating this thread with our latest buy requests for July. If you own a brand name matching up with any of the following requests and would like to offer it for sale to our buyers, please click the "view buy request" link to access the full brief and submit your names. I am going to do my best to keep this thread updated when new buy requests are posted this month, and we look forward to working with you all again. :)

Healthy Whipped Cream Brand & Domain Name
Budget:
$1,000
Extensions: .com, .net
Length: No character constraints
Description: Healthy whipped cream CPG product made with coconut cream, however, prefer to avoid mentioning coconut in the name. Targeting the most health-conscious, plant-based/sustainability-conscious demographic with products fitting into several categories of dietary restrictions including Vegan, Paleo, and Keto. Aiming to provide a guilt-free version of a product that has been labeled as junk. Prefer .com but open to .net and admire brands like Supercoffee, Dream Pops, Laird Superfood, Olipop, Moku Foods, Mid Day Squares, Bulletproof
Rebranding High-End Cleaning Service
Budget: $1,000
Extensions: .com, .io, .com.au
Length: No character constraints
Description: Professional high-end cleaning service in Gold Coast, Australia. Clients include large corporate businesses, construction companies, local governments, high-end commercial clients, and high-end residential customers. DO NOT WANT any gimmicky names including words like "maid" or "janitor". New name needs to convey a strong, reliable high-end company. Admire brands like Tesla, apple, play station, Tom Ford, and Mercedes. Prefer a .com but open to a .io or .com.au

Brand for Australian Online Plant Retailer
Budget:
$500
Extensions: .com, .com.au
Length: No character constraints
Description: Australian online plant retailer selling plants and accessories including planters and gardening tools for house plants. NOT a landscaping or general gardening business. Instead, focus is on delivering quality, value for money, inspiration, and convenient easy-care solutions that suit indoor and small to medium outdoor spaces. The new brand should convey a modern and environmentally-friendly vibe that appeals to people who are eager to learn and interested in taking a hands-on approach to improving the look of their home. I prefer .com or .com.au, the shorter the better, and I admire brands including ModernSprout, Rooted, Bloomscape, Nook House Plants, Plant Society, Leaf Supply, and Patch.
Brand for Landscape Design Service
Budget: $500
Extensions: .com
Length: No character constraints
Description: Landscape design for companies and individuals. Customers located nationwide in the USA. Seeking a brand with a friendly and helpful tone. Must be .com but not ultra concerned with length or number of words as long as it is a good name. Made-up words are fine as long as they have relevant meaning to landscape, please avoid completely made-up words that have no meaning at all.
Food Distribution Company Rebrand
Budget: $1,000
Extensions: .com
Length: No character constraints
Description: Food distribution business that specializes in high-quality meats sourced from vetted family farms, and recently also high-quality cheese. The target market is moms that care about where their food comes from. Rebranding because the current name is being confused with another food distributor owned by a much larger company. The new name should convey trust, honesty, quality, great taste, and deliciousness. DO NOT WANT the name to be abstract like Amazon or Nike; instead prefer a descriptive name like "Tasty Meats".

Computer / Electronics Business Rebrand
Budget: $1,000
Extensions: .com
Length: 10 to 15 characters
Description: eCommerce business selling branded computers, electronics, and puzzles. Planning to launch Shopify store and seeking a .com that is no more than 10 - 15 characters and conveys trust, value, services, and selection. Description: Startup offering veterinarian disposable products such as sutures, syringes, needles, exam & surgical gloves, wound care items, specialized dog collars, etc. Strong environmentally friendly policy and using organic materials for all cotton products, recycled packaging materials, and recycled plastics in the products. "green" & "sustainable") and possibly even Scandinavia (ex. "nordic"). Admire brands like Patagonia and Greener Punkt, and are seeking a .com
Brand Name for Social Dating App (CLOSED)
Budget: $1,200
Extensions: .com
Length: 5 - 7 Characters
Description: DO NOT WANT to position this as a traditional dating or hookup app. Instead this will be a social platform focusing on sharing stories, media content, etc. You could think of it as an Instagram, Snapchat, or Tik Tok for dating. I saw your buyer's budget is too low, $500, $750, $1000. is brandmo for reseller? not for end users?

Budgets are set by our buyers. We are working with entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations of all sizes and types. Of the seven buy requests currently open, the budgets range from $500 to $10,000 and we've worked with many buyers above this range all the way up to seven figures.

One thing to keep in mind is that every buyer is different. Not all buyers have extensive knowledge of the current market for premium domain names and not all buyers have a hard budget. Just as many sellers are often negotiable on price, within reason, buyers too are often willing to increase the amount they spend if they really like a name.

If you click through to the landing page for the specific buy request, there is an extended brief and other details on the buyer's criteria (suggested keywords, etc.) which should help you get a better feel for what the buyer is looking for. If you have a name you think matches up well, I encourage you to submit it to the buy request so the respective buyer can review and possibly acquire your name.

I submitted my offer on three requests. I also looked at the closed name requests and none of them show that they picked a winner. Why is that? For example, the $500k request which is closed shows $0 awarded and it's been 3 months. Are they just taking their time or did they not like any names submitted?

I've been thinking of mentioning something about this. Would really help us, as sellers, to see transparency in the follow-through. Perhaps each ended request could have a 'results' box? It could show that the seller did choose one of the submitted names, tell the domain name chosen, and maybe the username of the seller. Don't have to mention final price paid. It could also simply mention 'the buyer did not choose any of the tendered names'.

Right now, we submit the names and then... crickets. Silence. We have no idea what's happening, during or after the request.

Another suggestion: maybe show all the names submitted for a request. That way we can see the other kinds of names people are submitting, and if we can see the 'stars' the seller awards or doesn't award to those names, we can see the types of names that are getting 'hotter or cooler' to what they want.

Just some hopefully helpful suggestions. We want your buyers to find the right names, and for us sellers to know we're getting some sales through your platform.

Good luck

We’re making changes to this section and user profile data is not connected so none of those stats are pulling. To my knowledge they have not yet acquired a name. Though it can definitely take longer than you might think for a buyer to choose a name. Last week we had a buy request sale that took two and half months from the time the request was posted to the closing of escrow.

I appreciate the feedback and I think some of the suggestions are worth exploring. We actually discussed revealing all submissions previously but felt it could be unfair to buyers who pay for our service and may discourage some sellers from submitting. Indicating a name has been selected is something we'd be more inclined to consider, but it probably needs more thought. I’m not sure every buyer wants this information made public and I think it could be slightly misleading because we don’t have any set timelines with respect to the decision-making process. When a buy request closes no new entries are permitted but buyers may still rank names, communicate with sellers, and make and accept offers.

All that said, we are working on a few things that should give more insight into the process. We’re looking to put together case studies to provide observations about the experience from the buyer’s perspective as well as interviews with active buyers. When we get permission from our buyers we may also disclose some sales publicly on sites like namebio, dnjournal, etc.
