Silence is golden, no reply usually means less or not much more than reg fee but nobody wants to spoil your day or waste their time telling you that.

If whoever registered Business.com had put an advert in an IT magazine asking for a valuation the day they regged it, I doubt anybody would have replied.

If a piece of fruit is hanging on a tree and people are sitting underneath picking pips out of their teeth, your piece of fruit is going to be worth no more in your hand than it is on the tree.

You've got to wait for all the fruit to get picked and for people to get hungry again and start eating dry biscuits.

Then when you ask people how much the fruit is worth, the people who want to buy it will tell you it's worth less than it really is and the people who own fruit orchards will tell it's worth more than it really is to push prices up. Anybody without an axe to grind will be too busy planting fruit trees to give you an honest answer.

I think Businesses.pro is a solid registration. The downside is obvious. Business keyword domains are very rarely sold in plural form. I can find one notable exception, HomeBasedBusinesses.com sold for $23,000 in Oct 07. That's a foul mouthful as a brand but presumably a nice little PPC earner.

Businesses has excellent goodness of fit with the .pro extension so I don't see why you won't be able to sell it for $X,XXX+ in 1-2 years if .pros gets cheaper to register. and restrictions are removed. Right now low $XXX.

Thanks. I noticed you got quite nice .pro domains.
