.mobi Breaking News: .mobi Officially listed with tlds on Sedo!!!

Hi Guys,
It is with great pleasure that i can inform you that as of today .mobi is placed correctly (finally) with the other tlds on sedo.
In short when you search for 'xyz'.

You are now given the search result in this order:

.com
.co.uk ( or .de etc.)
.eu
.info
.mobi
.net
.org

It helps everyone as it clarifies to the uninitiated that .mobi is a tld.
Also those searching for .mobi or a specific keyword in a tld don't have to go trawling through the other cctlds below.
It will help further sales for existing owners & drive more registrations :imho:
& help promote the extension for those unaware.

I did start by asking sedo back in october about this but they have started all sorts of new things like auctions etc since then & this was an oversight. A long overdue one.

I want to thank my broker who in my opinion is the best of the best at sedo & i'm very lucky to have her.
She is truly a legend as she sorted this off her own back after being made a ware in a matter of days.
If you would like to praise or thank 'Georgina' , post it here & i will let her know.

It was Georgina from sedo who sorted this.

Let's hear it for her?
If she hadn't brought to attention of sedo upper management on back of our concerns, mobi would still be languishing wrongly with .cc, .ws etc.

This for me is news of the month :imho:

Here's the exerpt from Georgina's email i just got. They have made some improvements all round & i think for a change sedo need to be congratulated.

Just to outline the changes we made once again:



Management agreed to remove the .name extension from its top position within the TLD pull down menu in our search mask and replace it by “.mobi”. To avoid any further confusion we have also rephrased the headline of the “Exact matches” section within the search result to “Common Extensions”. Also, instead of informing buyers about the registration / marketplace status of keyword+.biz extension within the “Common Extensions” section, we now check for status of keyword+.mobi.



The auctions showing up on the Sedo homepage in the “Auction Listings” section are just a small selecting of auctions picked by Sedo. The section is not supposed to feature all closing soon auctions. The selection is based on which domains Sedo considers as being most relevant in a certain market. In case of .mobi, this extension is definitely gaining importance but is still is not (yet) considered to be one of the most relevant TLD e.g. in English speaking markets. To reflect this we have now renamed the auction box from “Auction Listings” to “Featured Auctions”



I hope this clarifies some of the issues addressed in your previous emails. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
