I think it potentially could be good for both BrandPa and its sellers and HostPapa. HostPapa has mainly a small business client list, and while it started in Canada now operates in many countries in North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Small businesses are the main clients for brandable marketplaces, so synergy between the company that provides web hosting and other services and a naming platform can make sense. I think this is at least the 17th acquisition by HostPapa since 2020.
On the BrandPa side, now I take it customers will be able to use many currencies and more ways to pay. Also, payouts to sellers should be easier now – had to establish a Wise or similar account before, unless you were in UK. Also, having a bigger company in charge might allow BrandPa to get a bigger global presence.
