Big brother naija is a reality tv show that will start by 22 of January next year 2017 on the DSTV the largest digital network in Africa.
Big Brother Naija was a reality TV show based on the Big Brother TV series in which 12 contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth $100000 at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted by viewers. so i was luck to registered this domain since 2013, and i have a potential buy that have offered me $1200, there's also a lot of direct traffic. please help me to appraise the domain. do you advice to sell it or to devolpe the name to a blog about what is going in the house and make my money every year from the traffic. thanks

I'll assume this show is not of your own production, so you'd have to correct me if I'm wrong, but you could be liable for tricky copyright and trademark business if whoever is creating this show decides to take you to town.

I'd accept the $1200 and use it to invest in some nice new additions to your portfolio, that are far away from legal issues and trademark tricks.

Unless you are absolutely sure that you are in the clear here. In that case, you can probably get more out of it if the current offer is already $1200 pre-launch.

Thanks i a lot i have thought that but this show use to be Big Brother Nigeria 10 years ago until they change it to Big Brother Naija last 2 monthsand i registered this domain since 2013 to use it for some cool ideas. but it seems like i need the money that's why am thinking of selling the domain. you can see that bigbrothernaija.net is registered last months and developed already to follow the program. so what do you think? didn't i have argument here?

Plus the naija there is just a slang for Nigeria, so there are other ones like 9ja.

My take is for you to try see if you can squeeze more from that offer and also know who is making it the offer. I think $1200 is good since endusers are limited unless you can make more in a year from developing the domain name.

I don't think there's a copy right problem here if i use bigbrothernaija.com for a just a blog about gossip, celebrity news and normal blog just like bigbrothernaija.net the traffic is cool and will be better as soon as the show start, differently there will be a lot of direct traffic for 11 weeks every year

And by the way they are not going to strike your site/domain

I thought as much! Here in Nigeria, Nigeria company don't even give a damn bcos they don't know much, that's why they using useless domain names.
