Well to be honest the time has come where I have decided and researched a new area I would like to learn on the internet. I have plans to migrate to Internet Marketing within the next month and that leaves domaining on the back burner. I would like anyone to perhaps give me some advice what is the best way to go about selling 99% of your domain portfolio as 1 sale instead of pieces. I have around 500 Domains that I would like to group together and Sell as a complete set.

I have .com/.net/.org/.info/.us and .me no other extensions in my portfolio. I would like to find prospective buyers that would give a fair market price for the complete listing etc. Ideally I would be taking a loss from my initial investment into these domains. I'm prefectly fine with this fact and honestly just want to clearance out the domains and work on my new area to conqueror.

So in conclusion if you know the best way to go about selling an entire portfolio or have contacts that buy in bulk etc...Please let me know the best procedures/strategies. Obviously I can list it here on namepros and just do it $5-$10/each but i would prefer to find a buyer that would purchase the lot and get it all done in one transaction.

I don't plan on leaving namepros or the domaining community but I see a much brigher future in Internet Marketing. I'm pursuing something that I have been researching for almost 6 months now and I would like to make the transition smooth and promptly. So once again if you have advice or any tips please do share cause you never know there may be other members in the same boat/situation.

Cheers to You All

Contacting BuyDomains and letting them have their way with you would probably be the easiest and quickest way. I've also seen DNCartoons list entire portfolios in their newsletter, and they have a lot of buyers with deep pockets.

You are unlikely to find a buyer for the whole lot unless they're all in the same category. Best to bundle them into groups if you are going to sell them on NamePros.

I'm also planning to decimate my portfolio, I would like to sell about 450-500 names. I think the best method is that you sell your worst domains in a big package, the ones that holds zero or very little value, then you can create small categories for the remainder. Or you can try to open a thread in the 'Make offer' section, and maybe someone offer a decent amount for your entire portfolio.

Interesting way of looking at things. I am in Internet Marketing and that is the entire reason that I own domains. To me Internet marketing is a very broad thing and domaining is one aspect of it. There is no specific thing that I would call "internet marketing" as you do, especially not one that would exclude domains. It would never occur to me that they would be mutually exclusive or that one would abandon one for the other. Perhaps you have some quality domains you can sell to other internet marketers. Unless you mean you are focusing only on one brand new thing or a narrow niche completely unrelated, which i could have misinterpreted.

I think selling the domains, it really depends on quality, how many different niches, etc, IMHO. As others have said you may have to do different bundles selling off lower quality in batches and maybe more valuable ones alone or with related domains.

i'm not sure it is the best way, but listing the portfolio for sale at a multiple of the package's earnings would be a good strategy.

TO be honest, unless your selling for bargain prices per domain, your not gonna find it easy to unload your entire portfolio, even at reg fee prices. I am assuming 500X8 = 4000$. You could try one sale of all of them at breakpoint and if it doesnt work, close it and try selling them in groups of niches.
