Just wondering what you guys use to keep track of what domains you own and which registrar they are with.

When a domainer is dealing with hundreds of names, how do you keep track of them all?

In an Excel sheet? A .txt file? A database of some sort? With a PHP script? Scribble them down on a sheet of paper? In some sort of software tracking program? Or do you just keep checking each registrar you have domains with? Or something else?

Your feedback is much appreciated on this. :)

I currently use an Excel sheet for each company I have names at, but am open to other suggestions for better ways to manage them.

i am dealing with hundreds of names and i use just one excel sheet
i think i have an easy way to manage all of them in just one

this is what i do

column A -> DN with ext
column B -> expiring date
column C -> how much i paid (and if i renew it i sum this value)
column D -> its registrar
column E -> how much i sold it for

in the end of column A, i put any other thing i pay regarding domaining (the place i paid), such as memberships, etc

in the end of column B i put the expiring date, if it has one (eg tdnam membership can expire in one year)

in the end of column C i put the price i paid for it

everything is organized and they are in their right columns, so i know how much i have spent and how much i have earned and i dont need to an excel expert to do this ;)

hope i have helped :)

I use excel to manage my 3,000+ domains with separate worksheets at the bottom for the different extensions, sold domains etc. I have attached a zip file with a copy of the excel file I use with a few demo domains.

Rep appreciated if you use the file.
