tips Be careful: Your fixed price Afternic names, might have an automatic min offer in GD auctions!

I'm not clear about what is exactly causing this but I just spotted:

Untitled.png

For this domain, BIN = min offer = Floor price = $1688.

Yet GD auctions accepts an $1097 min offer... by itself.

And with this, it kills all my impulse buy intent for which I have chosen NOT to accept offers. Needless to say I am quite unhappy about it. (Going to ask my rep about it today).

The discount offered is 35% if you compute it.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I've emailed my rep about it, now awaiting response.

Worst case scenario I will choose a min price myself.

But one over another, I'm not happy.
Maybe raise the bin and put the min. offer as your old bin.

As far as I understand, it doesn't matter as GD sets their own min at 35% less.

The issue is not the price but the method.

Also if I raise the bin like that I'm going to decrease my STR by a lot.

I guess all you can do is fix it.

Yeah, it's been like this for years.
The minimum offer percentage allotted is 65% of the ask
This is by design and only applies to the Godaddy auction platform
This is why I make sure all of my Fast Transfer eligible domains are opted-in daily and reflecting as such in the Godaddy purchase path.
(I prefer buyers, not watchers or negotiators.)

My experience

If I list a name via the afternic interface and do not select a min offer, it defaults to 20 dollars

If I list a name on afternic via godaddy (if you login to your gd account and select a name, you have an option to list it for sale right from gd and it goes on afternic) and enter a bin, gd will automatically create a min offer of 35% of the bin.

Did you list this name on afternic via godaddy or direct?
