The seller is trying to sell RealPain.com domain name on Godaddy

https://in.auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?src=dpp&miid=272657051

But it was listed on Namejet and sold to me. I won this auction for $80 USD but the seller refused to award the domain name

Hey Praveen @BuyBrandWeb.com I just saw this post now. Weird I owned this domain in December 2018 and I ran the GoDaddy auction (which subsequently was won and not paid) but I never listed it on Namejet. I didn't even get a Namejet account until this year 🤔

Pre-Release auctions are mostly renewed and the auctions are invalidated. They are just a good way to get a feel for a domains value. I'm surprised you got to pay for the domain. What did NameJet say they would do to the buyer, after you complained?

This was a public auction and I won it for 80 usd and not for 69 usd. I paid for the auction and Namejet followed up with the seller for almost a month and then canceled the listing!

The seller would have had a hard time delivering given that I owned the name at the time.

No issues. I understand. I'll contact namepros support to close this thread since you own the domain name!

Even the initial post you made said this was a Pre-Release Auction. These are always public auctions. I never mentioned anything about the price. It could be the starting bid. Or higher. If there is more than 1 bidder, it's more likely to be renewed by the current owner. I don't think Pre-Release Auctions are guaranteed to be won by the highest bidder. If the owner renews the domain. I couldn't find this specifically in NJ's ToS. But I'm always leery of Pre-Release auctions, because you are not guaranteed to receive the domain. It's happened to most of my Pre-Release auctions winning bids, at least. Which was why I asked you what NJ said to you, when they refunded you. Mostly what happens is the owner just closes the auction. I think.
