    Hi,

I am trying to raise money for finishing my Master's degree
and making my dream of doing a PhD in neuroscience come true.
The strange way of doing this was to create a package of
anti-gambling .org domain names and sell it.

I need quite a lot of money but I already know I won't get it here, and so I am going to
create some crowdfunding campaigns for it or look for private donors. This is not a donation site,
this is a domain trading forum.

But if you could spare at least a little bit of cash for these domains,
if you think there is some value in them, it will help me fund pricey academic
English & general skill exams (I'm living in a small European non-English-speaking country)
like IELTS / GRE I need to take in November-December to attach to my PhD applications.

For the record, family has no money. I have been successfully living on my
own for ~6 years out of money I once made in some lucky affiliate campaign,
that was a bit over $100k in gross income. But it's gone now.
Therefore, it will be hard for me to reject your offer, even if it's low.

    I. GAMBLING MARKET REGULATION

The worldwide gambling market size was $449.3 billion in 2018 according to BusinessWire. That means people around the world lose nearly half a trillion dollars chasing a fake dream of becoming rich by playing roulette, slots, and other related games.

The effects of compulsive gambling are devastating; aside from financial troubles that often lead gambling victims to fall into a spiral of predatory loans, gamblers face family troubles and mental health problems.

In recent years, in Japan, Qatar, Singapore or Poland, all online gambling activities have been reduced to just one or two licensed casinos in the country or fully banned in recent years. In several European countries, gambling rooms disappeared from pubs. And other countries seem to be following suit. For example, US lawmakers are now also working on a ban on all forms of online gambling and the UK lawmakers are also starting to talk about the risks of gambling and about a ban on gambling ads. That is particularly relevant to this domain name since its language is English.

II. END USERS TO RE-SELL TO

The domains bangambling.org , bancasinos.org, banslots.org, banroulette.org are each a short and clear domain name for a bold worldwide or US-/UK-based non-profit initiative calling for stringent gambling regulation. While it will be hard to impose a full gambling ban on a short time frame, a project with this thought-provoking name could definitely raise attention to the topic and the general public may be more supportive towards a full ban in one or two decades from now. The initiative could start out with a call for:

    • a very strict regulation on online gambling, for example, banning all online casino ads and imposing a penalty on any website owner that places such ads on their site,
    • significantly increased taxes for rich casino companies,
    • spreading awareness about the lives of gambling victims.
I expect such an anti-gambling initiative to be funded by either of these:

    1. A government motivated to end gambling in their English-speaking country. For example, President Mosewini of Uganda or the governments of Kenya and other African countries working towards a nearly-full or full gambling bans like the one they have in Singapore (near full ban) or in Qatar (full ban).
    2. A gambling help organization or a gambling addiction center. For the cost of an annual salary of just a few workers (e.g. $40k each), they could get lifetime access to a digital asset that allows them to reach lawmakers across the world.
    3. A wealthy corporation as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and positive PR.
    4. An affluent private investor, for example, a billion-dollar company founder and CEO whose family experienced a tragedy caused by a gambling addiction who decided to take the tragedy as his inspiration to create a future without gambling victims.
    5. A television network, for example, the network which runs the show “Last Week Tonight” with a host famous for exposing a variety of controversies and scams, such as predatory lending or the tobacco industry’s lobby against health warnings on cigarette packages.
The domain name could also be purchased by a big gambling corporation defensively. That being said, I am not marketing my domain to any.

    III. DETAILS & PURCHASE OPTIONS

The domain names are registered with GoDaddy.com. It's domains only, without content. Renewal price is 18.99 GBP. Transfer to the buyer will happen through Escrow.com securely with their Domain Concierge service. The payment methods are, according to Escrow.com, wire, credit card, and Paypal. All transfer fees are covered by me.

I need money fast at least until I do a crowdfunding campaign or seek some private donor, so you have the opportunity to purchase these domains for a small price, since it will be hard for me to reject.

That being said, with a very low offer, I will at least spend some time thinking about it, as there are the two very expensive activism-oriented domain names I was able to find, and it seems like those prices were reseller prices, since the domains are still just parked and not used. I know, they are much more versatile, but if my domains are a small fraction of these prices, then it's still something:
    ...............................................................................................................................

    That's about it.
Please make me "an offer I cannot refuse" via PM.

I will be very happy to hear from you.
    Yours,
    Johnny
