Back Link BS? What is your opinion.

Many say having lots of back-links to your domain - site brings value and traffic. I beg to differ. Check out how many back-links one of my sites has. Screen shot for ISPping is from today. What are your thoughts on back-links?

Hi, quick - very quick look:

Site has no xml site map - fix that asap
Google doesn't like low content, site is showing its low. Also, text to code ratio is out of wack (almost21%).
Few other little SEO things that may help. (Alt txt in images, etc)
