Augmented Reality (AR) domains

Last night I ignored the urge to register SpaceShipThree.com , and today the .com .net .org and .whatnot is all taken.

Today I decided to redeem myself and find another good dn investment. After a bit of investigation I discovered the huge potential of Augmented Reality: Google Trends: augmented reality . The estimated AR market size in 2014 is $732,000,000 , especially in AR marketing.

I think adverts and billboards shown as augmented reality on mobiles will become simply huge, and so I decided to get a piece of the pie, all new .com registrations:

ar+
advert
adverts
billboard
billboards
registrar

There are still a lot of possibilities available, so I thought I'd share this so you can also get a piece of the action :santa:

I'm not a forecast "guru" or anything, but I'd like to run these by you guys to tell me what you think. Check out these forecasts for certain AR buzzwords that I think have a potential in the "Mobile AR" department.

This is a graph from Google trends and the keyword combination is an exact search for "Mobile Augmented Reality". I can see that there is interest growing with that being a common term that's said. These notes are for the RED letters that I added to the graph.

A: The buzz begins and it's high, but the tech just isn't there yet and people start losing interest, but not completely. There are dramatic spikes and drops in interest but it keeps dropping.

B: The drop in interest continues to drop, but much slower.

C: The drop in interest STOPS, and levels off with continued, non-stop interest in "Mobile Augmented Reality".

D: Slight peaks in the leveled off interest tell us that this will start to rise again, considering the revenue share in AR. Those two peaks look like they are ready for a breakout.

This next graph is my prediction for just the keywords "Mobile AR":

mar_zps1trl3mb8.png

A: People start referring to "Augmented Reality" as just "AR" when used with "Mobile". Notice the peaks that coincide with "Mobile Augmented Reality", this means that they were being used at the same time. The interest doesn't last long and it drops.

B: The interest in "mobile AR" comes back, not as strong as before BUT it lasts longer, and has peaks and ebbs that coincide with "Mobile Augmented Reality".

C: My prediction here, is there will be another spike and sustained interest in "Mobile AR" as the terms are used more and more. The spike probably won't be spectacular but the interest of the keywords will be longer sustaining and with a slow and steady rise for a couple of years, with a big breakout later as AR starts blowing up.

Like I said, I'm not a guru at this. I might know some things but I need some opinions please, does my forecast hold water?

AR got a lot of expose last month, after it will get some big investors I expect Mobile AR to start trending too.

I dont think that MAR-MobileAugmentedReality will be a killer term itself. I dont plan to invest in this name :/

Also i think AR is a mine right now, with a lot of juicy gems in it.

-But this is not an investing advice, i have no success yet in domaining and all my regs may end up with drops, i cant predict it. I am regging those names because i can afford it easily and if i cant make money it wont hurt me.

I own only one MAR domain, but I had to register it because would be a killer if MAR will be huge as most of us predict.

I think meanwhile, that AugmentedrealityXXXXX.com domains are not as good as AugmentedXXXXX.com domains (if they make sense).

Today I had some very nice catches...

One of them...

Augmenteddriving (dot) com

:)

Same here, I think AugmentedReality+keyword is too long and honestly I didn't saw any active website with such a domain, but with Augmented+keyword I saw at least 3.

IMO AugmentedReality+keyword may be used as Brand protection in the Future for AR+keyword domain names.

Perhaps you are right, but it's worth risking a few dollars with premium words are free, because if you are wrong ?.

"MAR" "MOBILE AUGMENTED REALITY"

Google 28.900 (0,30 )

Mar is not nonsense, can succeed or not, but already exists.

Mario.

It worths just for ultra generic names like porn, casino or games. In my opinion.
