Hello,

This is just feedback from me and perhaps I'm the only one who feels this way. It seems that listing a name for auction for an obscene starting price has started to become a trend. I'm not sure what can be done or should be done but it's really just not in the true spirit of domain auctions imho. Just as an example I wanted to point out this thread:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/workathome-com.1332624

Starting bid $980,000 -- I mean yes the name is great but doesn't this type of name have a better place to be put? High priced domains perhaps? Just some feedback from a long time member. I search the auction section for deals and not for what I wouldl call high priced domains that get bumped 100's of times over and over!

I may be off base but I can' be the only one who finds this annoying and just out of sync with the auctions area of the forum.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They don't have any real intention of selling. They're the owner of makemoney.com (which is also on auction) and have been involved in auction controversy before on the forum if I'm not mistaken. Just trolling.

I wouldn't worry about it, It's annoying that such posts fill-up the 'New posts' pages, But a quick look at both the Thread starter and the last post shows the same person and yeah a hundred bump posts in-between just means ignore. Shame you can't filter them out when loading New Posts

namepros’ the epitome of Laissez-faire.
I too feel this way. Seller likely hopes to sell 1% obscene price via DM.

It’s a miracle, NP enforces zero tolerance for scammers and if spent 1/10 energy to fix this…

I will tag one of the mods: @Bravo Mod Team

Likely will say: “Will of the people” but i’m curious
