So the 4 letter domains are far gone, and most of the 5 letter ones are as well. Has anyone here had positive or negative experiences with hand registering 5L domains? This could make a thread helpful to many newbies like me. How much do they generally go for, are they mostly through inbound or outbound sales? What aspects should you look for before hand registering such domains? We'd really appreciate anyone who'd like to share their knowledge and experiences!

My experience has been mostly negative. 5Ls are only worth investing if it follows a practical vowel-consonant pattern. Other than that they are worthless it seems.

One thing that I have noticed is that Facebook doesn't like 4 letter usernames. 5 letter domains have potential for people wanting to align a username with a domain name.
