It lists all afternic sales in that year (dont guarantee that though )

Well the names with prices released anyway.

Hi virus details,

interesting, except I followed pretty close the daily sales averages for most of the large auction houses for 2006 and 2007 and these numbers are way off.

From my memory I recall Afternic averaged 7 to 10 domain sales a day, selling way more names than stated in "your software guy" urls. Sedo was selling pretty close to the same.

I was posting lots of threads in Discussnames forum at this time about the fact that many domainers were waiting for domain sales. I talked about the odds of us getting names sold were bleak when a person thought about the fact that the big auction houses only sold approx. a half a dozen names a day. Take 6 names a day and divide that by four million names in Afternic or Sedo and you will see why you have not sold a domain name today.

What is the answer then to get more of our names sold?

Same answer I mentioned years ago. Develope a marketing team to go after small business owners to market our names too.

The only difference between now and a few years ago is I see Afternic is now doing this. I also see their domain sales going up when they make their reports. Other domain companies like Moniker are activily marketing domains to Americas business too.
