.tv Alcohol.tv is the name that Sold for $7500.00

The wire came in and the name was Alcohol.tv. A great name at a good price. I think this name will sell for at least 4 times the amount in the next 12 months if the new owner decides to sell it.

He is a member of this board, so I will let him introduce himself if he wants.

Also, I obtained the name in a trade a few weeks ago from another member of this board for another name that I had owned. I will let him introduce that deal as well if he wants.

At least that explains my confusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was seeing Alcohol being announces as purchases and then seeing the name pop up in signatures all over the place and then started thinking -- prhaps it was me with the alcohol problem....realising I owned ALKOHOL.TV , I checked to make sure the bottle wasnt leaking......Anyway I am all confused!!!!! :o :o

Bottom line Good news to all parties is the gist of what I am hearing!!

JF- If you got the name you need for development then you have won your own game.........for flipping is a one off, and development is the HOLY GRAIL that eludes most of us,,,,,,,so ANIMATIONS.TV will soon be a part of the PERMANENT .TV landscape, thats excellent news, any which way you look at it.....

Well done Richard. Argos.... no bad feelings but your timing has been unfortunate. It will strike soon enough for you. I am a lilttle suprised by this sale to be quite honest. I see lots of value here due to the pure generic factor, but the demographic for alcohol is over 21. I am truely inspired and awed. It just goes to show you never know what a buyers agenda is, never sell yourself short. Congrats to the buyer and best of luck.

Thanks everyone. Truth is it wasn't an easy descision for us to sell. The name was owned by my company and the execs had a heated debate. We all agreed that the name will be worth much more in 12 months from now, but we decided that we had to show some ROI. I spent more then $20k over the last 6 months on .tv's and I wanted to show that it was a wize descison on my part and tp earn back some of the money that was spent.

What sealed the deal was that although alcohol (and animations for that matter) doesn't fit our future development plans so it was a little easier to sell. Now if I was offered $10k now for Laptops.tv, I wouldn't sell it for that price.
