Gold looked like a good deal based on previous sales. But seriously, did anyone have to think about .pw being a good investment?

Before you waste your money on .pw, read this:

And the sad truth? Read here: http://www.thedomains.com/2013/06/3...the-value-of-a-prime-generic-pw-is-about-200/

auh so wait... if they would have sold for a lot of money then it maybe "wouldnt have been wasting your money" ????

one has nothing to do with the other. this isnt conclusive evidence they are a "waste of money" going by what a bunch of domainers are paying.

stop following the leader you silly sillies.. they were a waste of money before any rebrand relaunch or any auctions were held... think for yourselves!

Pathetic results. Looks like the supply of suckers is running low.
The registry might as well dump them while they can.

Confirmation that .pw as is as valuable as .so - more or less
And don't forget, you are the end user: these domains will be nearly impossible to flip.

Ridiculous. And so are going to be all the new gTLDs.

Sa sad as it is, there are millions of domainers who think every primekeyword.ext is worth a load of cash. That's sad, but true.

Gold looked like a good deal based on previous sales. But seriously, did anyone have to think about .pw being a good investment?

You missed the point. In the long run, we'll have to see what .pw does. For now, DON'T REGISTER .PW. Really, there are fools who thought .xxx was worth $100 regging.

I own caffeine (dot) pw , pm me to buy it.

In regards to this discussion, you only need to find the right buyer and you can sell anything.

you should win the award for the most stupid comment and ugliest domain spam in 2013.

"the right buyer", "the right buyer"....i can't hear this nonsence anymore.
"the magical stupid millionaire right buyer" who will buy your worthless domain for thousands of dollars.

F.O.

i'll give you an example

facemash dot com was for sale on Flippa sometime ago. I guarantee you that if the seller actively tracked down the right buyer (Mark Zuckerberg) he would've paid him $100k like it was nothing just for nostalgia. Theres alot of rich folk out there who would rather have your domain name than money.

First of all, FaceMash.com which is not only a nice brandable .com but also has a special history can't be compared to Crap.pw.

Secondly, you bet that the seller who put it up for sale at FLIPPA , tried to contact facebook and Mark to sell them the domain before he listed it at Flippa with no success. Mark dropped this name and was probably not that nostalgic wanting to have it back. He is happy with Facebook !
By the way, the seller probably also contacted sony (the owner of .net) with no success.

And finally, there are a lot of rich folks out there, yes, but rich doesn't mean stupid and willing to burn money and buy your $5 registered crap .pw for $5.000

Even .pro sucks, which is one of the many low quality drafts of .com, so try to figure where .pw stands, which is a bad imitation of .pro.

As usual the most enthusiastic (and gullible) about a new TLD are newcomers to the industry. People don't do research and repeat the same mistakes.
Requote: the past ALWAYS dictates the future (and the present).
