Below are the exact details (other than names) for a potential sale.
My question is, would you go up in price, or except it. This potential
buyer owns the main one word .com, but has "e" in front of main word.

(Potential buyer) How about $250?

I think no advice could be good if you dont tell what domain is it.
Anyway if it is one word .com it is worth much much more than $250

Potential buyer owns the 1word.com. I own e(domainname).com

you need to either trust people here with the name, or go it alone. That is a key element in the value you are trying to determine. Also, how far into negotiations is this? Have you 'bartered' to this figure, or is it the first offer?
Going on the limited info, I would probably push for more, but its impossible without knowing more.
Also, always consider, what is the domain worth to you? If its not a really good name, you might not see anyone interested for another few months at least...

Send me a PM with the name and I will give you a recommendation.

It's a "mortgage" domain. Mortgage in domain name, 'e' added.

RW, PM me with the domain name and I will give you my advice (PMs are down at the time being, but it will review it once they are up and running again).

Hi Ron...

Not knowing the dn in question, will give you a more uneven reponse. However just judging from some of the points made such as...

Prospective buyer owns e (keyword variation)
Dn in question recieves traffic at 60 plus a day.
Industry niche is mortgage related...

Personally the 250 price tag is low when you consider all the variables IMO.
And from my experience, most potential buyers start low to begin with, myself included.....

FYI - some mortgage related terms in terms of CPC run into the two digit figure territory and at 250 USD you could (if monetised correctly) make that back in literally days with the traffic you mentioned.

The details you've described could be used as leverage in your favor for higher pricing...if done subtly it could definitely work for a greater profit take...best of luck.

Thx, Expire guy. Okay then I post another question. How long is a good while to wait to responding to emails. Does a prompt reply hint at desperation (though Im not)?

Ive sold many in the past. They all been through Sedo. This is only my second venture outside of a parking service. Btw, I own the "e" version. So I know the buyers domain is more valuable than mine own.

Not necessarily, for me it means the seller is serious and professional....it doesn't mean you have to take the offer, but as prescribed before hand your technique at really selling the dn comes into play....you've got him to come through the door, finalising the deal to your advantage is the key...cheers

since it is a name with e in front and the buyer has the straight name then the offer is prob reasonable, but your counter-offer is good and not out of the ball-park....I would accept the counter-counter offer and not play hardball. good luck.

I wouldn't sell for $250 if you're getting 66 visitors a day, should be worth over $1000 with that sort of traffic (although depends on the click thru), and it sounds like a pretty good name with alot of interest around it.
