Most of the discussions here seem to relate to the selling of domain names. Dealing in names can undoubtedly be a profitable career or side hustle. There is an alternative though. You can build a portfolio of names that can generate a constant income stream, and can promote your channels on the monetised media sites. If you are successful, then you will also own an appreciating asset. Is the paucity of discussions about this the result of a slow income stream, rather than an instant profit?

Hi

in the beginning, i started this as a side hustle.

initially buying to resell for instant profit.
when ppc was hot, started buying to build income stream.

back then, the demand was high for such names, so profit from reselling and income stream from ppc, went hand in hand.
the goal, was to build a sustainable portfolio that paid for itself, basically from ppc earnings.
this way, one doesn't "have to sell" to sustain.

one must manage their overhead, so that it is lower than their income, to stay profitable or even to stay in business.

so, over the years i've reduced the size of portfolio, to try and stay within those parameters.

imo...
