A pagerank question

Hi guys,

I accidentally read somewhere that it is not the pagerank of the page you post your link on but the pagerank of the main domain that matters for the pagerank juice you'll get. Is this true? I've always thought the pagerank of the actual page you're posting on is the one that matters.

Whoever wrote that got it backwards - the page itself is what matters. Pages have pagerank, domains do not.

k so far i also thinking that inner pages don't matter. only main page rank is important it only give us the juice for the page rank

Do you think that if you place a link to your site on several pages with pagerank 0 but on sites with main page having PR 10, you will get a pagerank 9 for example?

Domain have Main PR which tells the authority of the site. All pages or URLs have PR. Google check the page in which your site is and takes the PR of that page. Just check ezine or squido backlinks of sites. PR of that pages will be always less than the main domain.

what is the timegap for page rank updatation

I think 4-5 times a year google updates PR.
