I'm not sure, but if Yahoo doesn't register domains real time, then it's possible someone else who registered with a real-time registrar could've grabbed the domain before Yahoo purchased it.

melbourne is yahoo's registrar - "No access" probably means your card had a chargeback or some other fraud issue?
Check your yahoo account and the email on file,

Ok, the drive-by-posting is getting somewhat old ;)

If you have a story to tell, tell it. But we've now got 2 one liners that don't help the situation, and offer no anecdotes to support/debunk any other position.

Raise the bar.

Never had much to do with yahoo as a registra, but have dealt with melbourneit.
If you purchased the domain from Australia it may have been registered by melbourneit as a reseller of yahoo, and you may need to go to the melbourneit.com.au website to administer the domain.

Do the registrant contact and administrative contact still have your name and email when you check whois? If so you will be able to sort it out.

Whois info can sometimes be changed when a registra consolidates reseller accounts or upgrades the website, but you would of had to agree to it somewhere during the registration process. Sneaky registras will do stuff like that leaving domains to expire with whois info in one of there names if you dont correct details or cant due to site bugs.
When ever I get a registra trying to set up a swifty on a domain, I always create an imediate support ticket with the domain name in the title and usually paiste in a copy of old whois info showing correct details. Its worth keeping records, then you cant get ripped off !

Or yahoo may have used melbourneit as a reseller If the domain is a .com.au
Anyway, have you contacted both registras by email yet, to sort it out?
Have you gone through all your billing records, that should give you some clues. I have found that you have to check every detail with registras, the default is, you get ripped off unless you find every little error. You may have even been charged by both registras, its happened to me before.

Best of luck
